FIRST LOOK: Trailers Galore!!!

After spending three days in Lucena City with no WiFi, lo and behold, 2 trailers for much anticipated animated feature films pop up in the web.

Trailer #1

New Trailer #2

These trailers are from the new Aardman and Sony Pictures Animation (Open Season, Surf's Up, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs) flick, The Pirates: Band of Misfits and it will be a stop-motion animated feature film from the guys behind Chicken Run and of course, the Oscar award winning Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. The last one is looks good, and IMHO, the better trailer than this next movie:

Trailer #1

This one is the 1st official trailer to the next Pixar film, Brave. This one is shaping up to be the next big Pixar hit but it does look too similar to Dreamworks' How To Train Your Dragon. I'm not getting good vibes from the trailer which reveals little with regards to story and some of the jokes are just, "meh." Still, I will be lining up for this movie, as well as Pirates, come 2012.

Breakfast at Borough

I had to wake at 545am and then beat the traffic (since my car is number coded), just to get to Ortigas from Pandacan to have breakfast at Borough, SM Podium. As much as I like the ambiance here, the prices are way high for my unemployed self. But the 24/7 cocktails will surely be a treat for my weary Emerson engineer girlfriend and her officemates who just came from night shift. Here's to early morning cocktails!

This puzzle comes from the 1st game, Professor Layton and the Curious Village. Get your thinking caps and solve this puzzle: Puzzle 13: Sinking Ship

Layton's Puzzles: Secret Message

Welcome to the Wednesday edition of Layton's Puzzles and apologies are in order for the 1 week hiatus due to the long Halloween / All Soul's Day week. Again, for the uninitiated, I regularly feature different kinds of puzzles from the hundreds featured in the Professor Layton video game series made by Level 5 which were all released on the Nintendo DS. The Professor Layton games are basically collections of puzzles beautifully integrated within the story of a professor and true gentleman Professor Hershel Layton and his sidekick Luke Triton who goes around from town to town talking to people, solving puzzles and figuring out various mysteries.

Last October saw the release of the 4th Professor Layton game called Professor Layton and the Last Specter, and this week's puzzle is the 1st among many new puzzles from the game. Here it is,
Puzzle No. 1: Secret Message.
